Set up your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/tools\/quickbooks-integrator\/\">QuickBooks Integrator<\/a>\u00a0so you can import RB9 data directly into <em>QuickBooks.<\/em> Enter your company contact information so other RB9 users can share jobs with you.<\/p>\n<h3>Email Log<\/h3>\n<p>Emails sent from RB9 are automatically logged in\u00a0the system by default. Because\u00a0all attachment files are stored as well when RB9 saves emails in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/tools\/email-log\/\">Email Log<\/a>, <strong>this adds to your repository size and could result in additional repository storage charges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reduce the load on your repository by designating which types of RB9 emails you want to keep track of and how long you want to store them.<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: This is an RB9 Standard-only function. It is not included in RB9 Lite.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"quickbooks\">QuickBooks<\/h3>\n<p>Enter the information needed for integrating RB9 data into your <em>QuickBooks<\/em> program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are using the QuickBooks Desktop edition,<\/strong> enter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User ID and password<\/li>\n<li>IP or URL of workstation\/server where your <em>QuickBooks<\/em> is installed<\/li>\n<li>Open port in your firewall for forwarding traffic to your <em>QuickBooks<\/em> computer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have your settings input, you can check that the port is open so you can use\u00a0<em>QuickBooks<\/em> with RB9. You have another set-up step that involves downloading a free remote connector application from <em>QuickBooks<\/em> and setting it up to enable secure remote access to your <em>QuickBooks.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you subscribe to QuickBooks online,<\/strong> you set up an Intuit developer account then enter your credentials here.<\/p>\n<p>After entering your <em>QuickBooks<\/em> information for either edition, you check that RB9 can communicate with your <em>QuickBooks.<\/em> Complete setup instructions for both editions \u2014 including downloading and installing the remote connector, setting up a developer account, and checking your connection \u2014 are in the RB9 user guide.<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: This is an RB9 Standard-only function. It is not included in RB9 Lite.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"network\">RB Network<\/h3>\n<p>Enter complete contact information for your company so other RB users can find you in the network to share jobs with you.<\/p>\n<p>You can set up one or more contact listings for your company. For example, if you have multiple offices you can set up a listings for each office that includes its coverage area so other users can choose the right office to contact for a job in a specific area.<\/p>\n<p>Listings can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name of the office<\/li>\n<li>Street address or P.O. Box<\/li>\n<li>City, state, and zip code<\/li>\n<li>Office type: headquarters or branch office<\/li>\n<li>Main phone and fax numbers<\/li>\n<li>Contact\u2019s name and email address<\/li>\n<li>Company website URL<\/li>\n<li>Coverage area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>System Preferences lists all of your offices and you can export the list as an <em>Excel<\/em> spreadsheet or\u00a0a CSV (comma-separated values) file to save, share, use in other applications, or print as a report.<\/p>\n<p>From the list you can update any office\u2019s entry including deactivating an office so it does not appear in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/tools\/rb-networks\/\">RB Network<\/a> or deleting it if you no longer use that office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TL;DR: Set parameters for your Email Log and enter required information for\u00a0importing RB9 data directly into <em>QuickBooks. <\/em>Check that RB9 and <em>QuickBooks<\/em> can communicate.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Set parameters for your Email Log and enter required information for\u00a0importing RB9 data directly into QuickBooks.
