Before you can apply reporters\u2019 digital signatures to RB-PDF Transcripts, reporters must grant you permission. <strong>Invite reporters to sign up for free digital signatures and grant you proxy<\/strong> to use their digital signatures.<\/p>\n<p>For their part, reporters must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sign up on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reporterbase.com\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.reporterbase.com\/\">ReporterBase.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Generate a digital certificate.<\/li>\n<li>Upload a file of their \u201cwet\u201d signature.<\/li>\n<li>Grant you permission to use their signature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>They can then monitor your use of their signature and rescind proxy or cancel their account at any time.<\/p>\n<h2>Find reporters to invite<\/h2>\n<p>To find the reporter(s) in your RB9 database you want to invite, use the search criteria, singly or in combination:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full Name, First Name, Last Name, or a\/k\/a (their preferred nickname or business name if they are independent contractors)<\/li>\n<li>City<\/li>\n<li>State (single, several, or all)<\/li>\n<li>Resource Type (single, several, or all)<\/li>\n<li>Priority Level (single, several, or all)<\/li>\n<li>Resource number<\/li>\n<li>Active resources only or all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Send invitations<\/h2>\n<p>In the list of reporters your search returned, you can select one, several, or all to send email invitations to. If you are unable to select a reporter in the list, they either already granted you signature proxy or they do not have an email address in your RB9 database. You can sort the list in ascending or descending order of any column by clicking the column\u2019s header. And export the list as an <em>Excel<\/em> spreadsheet or\u00a0a CSV (comma-separated values) file to save, share, use in other applications, or print as a report.<\/p>\n<p>Send reporters your standard invitation \u2014 or one of your other custom invitation emails \u2014 which you set up previously in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/setup\/set-preferences-for-shipping-labels-other-production-functions\/#proxy\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/setup\/set-preferences-for-shipping-labels-other-production-functions\/#proxy\">System Preferences<\/a>. You can create as many invitation email templates as you wish, set one as the default, customize their subject lines and messages, embed contextual RB9 data fields such as the resource\u2019s name and registration key, add images, and style the message with fonts, text treatments, sizes, and colors. When sending you can use the default or select a different template, change the contents, flag the email as important, upload attachments from your RB9 repository, select a different From address, and\/or include Cc and Bcc addresses.<\/p>\n<p>When you send a reporter an invitation, RB9 records the date the invitation was sent.<\/p>\n<h2>Monitor proxy designations<\/h2>\n<p>You can use this function to see if the reporter(s) you invited to join have granted you proxy yet. Search for reporters by the date or range of dates you sent invitations \u2014 or any of the other search criteria. In the results returned any reporters who have granted you proxy will have a checkmark in the Signature Proxy column so you can see at a glance who has responded and who you need to follow up with.<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: This is an RB9 Standard-only function.
