{"id":57,"date":"2020-09-04T15:51:08","date_gmt":"2020-09-04T22:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/?p=57"},"modified":"2025-08-11T15:40:40","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T22:40:40","slug":"production-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/production\/production-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"Your production To-Do list"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>Lesson #22<\/h6>\n<h5>Production \u2013 Production Sheets function<\/h5>\n<p>Production Sheets show on a job-by-job basis who\u2019s ordering what and how many units need to be produced. <strong>This static report includes any production and billing notes associated with jobs in the report \u2014 so your production staff doesn\u2019t forget any particulars about a client\u2019s order.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You decide which service items are included on production sheets (in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omtiblog.com\/reporterbase101\/modules\/setup\/service-item-master\/\">Service Item Master<\/a>), because not all service items need production \u2014 such as reporters\u2019 appearance fees. After all jobs are turned in for the day, production sheets listing required service items for those jobs can be printed or exported as PDF, <em>Excel<\/em> worksheet, or another file format.<\/p>\n<p>You generate productions sheets for either a single job or turned in date. You can customize them to specific rush types (like next day) and one or more of your business units. You can also include already produced items in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Any styling that you applied to Production\/Billing Notes in a job, firm, or contact entry \u2014 such as bolding or colors \u2014 will appear on the report. This can be helpful in making important information stand out on the page.<\/p>\n<p>You can search for a word or phrase in the onscreen report. RB will highlight all instances of your searched word\/phrase in the report and list them in a scroll box along with the page number where they occur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TL;DR: Production Sheets show who\u2019s ordering what and how many units need to be produced for a specific job or from jobs that were turned on a particular day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>RB concepts in this lesson<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Business Unit (BU):<\/strong> One of your company\u2019s revenue centers or any entity in your business that you want to track separately \u2014 such as branch offices, other companies you own, affiliates, and profit-sharing operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Service items:\u00a0<\/strong>Regular charges that you bill to your clients. Service items are listed on your invoices to provide itemized details for your clients and third-party payers.
